Entering the Helm – Chapter Two

Earth 52nd Century: World Clock Calendar Date 27.5111.3.1000

Bliss has kissed the morning of New Atlantis. All is well in the underwater world. It is an atmosphere of peace and paradise. Poverty, disease, and war are ancient history. People focus on living the highest levels and standards of love possible. This form of living, loving, and learning was discovered among the principles of ancient land dwellers.

The principles focused on three levels of love. The first was love for the creative source of life. The second was self-love as appreciation for the personal gift of life. The third was love for others and all other life forms.

The principles are sound in any millennia. Lunaetz and Kai hold to the principles through their love for the gift of life, themselves, each other, others, and all life.

Kai and Lunaetz are dressed in sheer translucent fabric created from the sea as they sit facing the sun to go inward in meditation to explore themselves, their pasts, and their motivations. Both are preoccupied with their shared lives and passionate love for each other, always talking about and exploring ways to enhance their experience. 

Seated inside the silent internal darkness bathing in the morning glow of the sun, both are caught up in exploring the past that has led them to their present moment. Both are deeply invested in observing their past lives to witness their evolution as it occurred in real time.

They seek consciousness and simultaneous awareness of all their experiences without empty spaces in their knowing. They can hear the music the universe has created to honor their story.

Time passes in the ethereal space of meditation until Kai feels a gentle touch on his right hand and a soft whisper in his right ear. He acknowledges by offering himself to feel, to listen, and to hear.

Lunaetz whispers, “I have seen a place we have not known before in all our travels. It feels a moment of infinite revelation in an area we have no yet remembered.

“Come. Let us go within ourselves, together. Please, share this with me.”

Without hesitation, Kai drew close to whisper in her left ear, “Anywhere with you.

I will get the helm for us to make the journey.”

They will need the helm to protect them and steer their journey. The helm, originally had origin in steering large ships. The 51st Century reiteration still serves to guide and protect them during their shared adventure.

When Kai quickly returns, they sit on the floor to form the six-pointed star. They open to face each other as the chalice and the blade.

Slowly, edging close to each other, they open to each other with their legs opening wide to form the letter, “V”. Kai’s legs open wide in the letter “V” to serve as the foundation of the six-pointed star. Luaetz’s legs open wide in the letter “V” to rest on top of Kai’s legs forming the letter “V”.

Once in position, they place on each other’s heads small metal crowns, their portion of the helm. When they touch the center pieces of each other’s crown, the experience begins.

“Are you ready?” Lunaetz asked as she wraps her arms around Kai’s neck.

Kai first nodded his affirmation as he wrapped his arms around her waist. Then he spoke quietly only with his lips, “Together forever.”

“Together forever,” she said softly as she smiled.

Upon their crowns joining like the clink of glasses toasting a special moment, they immediately found themselves inside a kaleidoscope swirl of energy. The colors of light and darkness danced taking them. Lunaetz and Kai surrendered to the moment. Soon, they will witness themselves in a time millennia ago.

Tales of the Volcano Characters

  When beginning a new book, one of the things I spend the most time on is the creation of character names is very important because I want the names to be meaningful and a story unto themselves. In the first installment of Tales of the Volcano, I have chosen the name Lunaetz (loo – NAHH – etz) for the name of the central woman of the story.   Lunaetz is a compound word whose origin is in Roman mythology representing the divine personification of the moon, as goddess. Etz is a Hebrew word meaning tree. In Old English, the word tree represents trust, promise, steadfastness, and reliability. I have chosen the name Kai (KYY) for the name of the central man in the story. Kai originates in cultures from Hawaii to Western and Central Europe. Meanings range from the sea, the earth, the warrior spirit, to the keeper of the keys. The last name I have chosen for this couple is Zawadi Nuru. Zawadi is a West African Swahili word meaning gift.
