Once Upon a Time When We Were Trees - Chapter 3 - Tales of the Volcano

Image
When our eyes cleared, we could see a stream of water flowing by a green landscape and two lone trees standing at the center. We travel here seeking to observe earlier versions of ourselves. Our connection allows for us to think in one thought stream and immediately we do not understand what we see. How can we be here? All that we can see are the two trees standing in a green field. We observe no bipedal lifeforms. We are both here in whatever time this is and also back in our home joined together at our crowns. What we are doing would have at one time been called magic. It feels like magic to us now. It really is nothing more than a unified field breakthrough moment where all things are constant in energy and forever moving into and out of form; what was, is, always will be. When we moved closer to the trees, we stopped to talk to each other for a moment. We asserted to hug each other, aware that we could not. The way we are joined in the moment is so far beyond the hug, it is...

Tales of the Volcano Characters

Image
When beginning a new book, one of the things I spend the most time on is the creation of character names is very important because I want the names to be meaningful and a story unto themselves. In the first installment of Tales of the Volcano, I have chosen the name Lunaetz (loo – NAHH – etz) for the name of the central woman of the story.   Lunaetz is a compound word whose origin is in Roman mythology representing the divine personification of the moon, as goddess. Etz is a Hebrew word meaning tree. In Old English, the word tree represents trust, promise, steadfastness, and reliability. I have chosen the name Kai (KYY) for the name of the central man in the story. Kai originates in cultures from Hawaii to Western and Central Europe. Meanings range from the sea, the earth, the warrior spirit, to the keeper of the keys. The last name I have chosen for this couple is Zawadi Nuru. Zawadi is a West African Swahili word meaning gift. Nuru   is name of Arabic origin mea...

It Happened in a Volcano

Image
In Plato's  The Symposium , humans were originally created with four arms, four legs and a head with two faces.  Fearing their power, Zeus split them into two separate parts, condemning them to spend their lives in search of their other halves. ------------ Until now, there has not been sufficient language to express and share this remembrance. It can now be told. This was the beginning of life and lives on Earth. Do you remember? You should. You were there. All the times we pondered how it continued to happen, the meeting each other over and over again throughout what we now know has been identified as time. I would see you and know it was you. Everything in me would quicken. You would see me and know it was me. Your light became brighter. The compelling toward each other is always a welcome and happy moment. It has at times proven to be socially complicated, especially when already mated, married or belong to others as slaves or servants. We have managed to fi...
